Mission Statement:

At Save 1 Person, we seek to harness the power of the media weekly to save the lives of those in need of a medical miracle one person at a time.  How do we do this? Simple. The answer is in the power of numbers. The more people who are able to learn about a person in need through a variety of media outlets (TV, radio, Internet and print) the more likely somebody will be alerted who is able and willing to help.

  Courtney Render needs costly life-saving transplant in the US

Courtney Render is a compassionate, vibrant, beautiful university student in Canada, Courtney was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, in November of 2009. Since then, she has undergone two full cycles of Chemotherapy, four weeks of radiation therapy, an autologous stem-cell transplantation and a trial drug in Detroit, MI.

After a two and half year battle with this disease, the cure for Courtney lies in a successful allegenic stem cell transplant.

 This treatment is offered in Seattle, Washington.

The cost for this procedure is over 600k for the operation alone.

Courtney's family is trying to raise money to help fund the costs of battling the disease.

24-year-old Preston Thayer from Wisconsin needs a double lung transplant to live.

If Preston does not receive this directed donor, doctors say he will die within a couple of months.

Preston has Cystic Fibrosis, a life-threatening inherited chronic disease

that affects the lungs and digestive system.

Preston's brother died of the same disease.
